Our mission at FWNI is to see the children, widows and vulnerable in the community we serve go from surviving too thriving. To raise up the next generation of leaders in Uganda. Medical care is a key component to the holistic care we desire to give.

Beyond the FWNI Farming Initiative, which is designed to provide daily nutritional meals for the children, we know preemptive and ongoing medical care is essential for the children and others we serve to thrive. 

Although our long term goal is to build a quality medical center on the Mukono - Embrace Orphan Care sight, there are immediate needs to provide ongoing medical care. This includes providing medicine, specialized treatments and surgeries at offsite medical locations, along with identifying other tropical diseases that are easily treatable with proper medication.

Beyond the longest Covid lockdown of any country in the world, many of the children we are serving in Uganda are currently suffering from influenza, upper respiratory infections, malaria and sickle-cell disease. 

If properly treated, these medical conditions should not be life threatening, but if not properly treated, they can cause the untimely death of these precious children. Without ongoing treatment and medication, illnesses can be spread throughout the orphan care centers on an ongoing basis.

Along with our capital campaign for the permanent medical center, these funds will be used for periodical, on-sight medical clinics, medicine and specialized treatments and surgeries at offsite medical locations and long term sustainability.

As an advocate for these children, and the overall Mukono community, I can tell you from my most recent trip to Uganda, there is an immediate need for medical care. As Jesus stated, "whatever you do for the least of these, you have done for me."
