As I have worked in the area of orphan care and foster care, I have become very aware of the importance and significance of father figures. I am very aware of how blessed I have been in my life to have an amazing dad and an amazing father-in-law. On Friday night, we lost my father-in-law. I want to honor his life and the significance he had on mine.

Del Brown was both a true gentleman and a gentle man. His calm and quiet demeanor along with his authentic humility really set him apart. His generosity was truly remarkable. He was ahead of his time in so many ways and enjoyed flying his own planes, water and snow skiing, hunting and traveling both domestically and internationally.

He was an Air Force veteran and deeply loved this country. He was a girl dad and absolutely loved and cared for his daughters. He took his son-in-laws in with open arms and provided wisdom and guidance for Susan and I on so many occasions.

But most importantly, he loved the Lord and lived out his life as an authentic follower of Jesus.

He was a great encourager, prayer warrior and supporter of Faces With Names, a ministry his son-in-law, Eric Mills, leads. Thank you for giving in memory of Del Brown.
